Hi Shawn, I've watched your channel for a long time and this last cabin you built is a nice one. I also believe we might see some rough times ahead especially considering the united states where I live is going broke and the dollar should have already collapsed. I don't think anyone believes we are ever going to pay back 34 trillion dollars. Then again Canada seems to be turning into Hitler's Germany with your left wing authoritarian government running wild up there. Not sure what the future holds for us all but I think we would all be better off trying to become as independent as we can.

I too don't understand why you are eliminating veggies especially those you grow organically.

Shawn, perhaps you've already covered this but if so I missed it. I think all your regular viewers are aware of your fairly recent change in diet and while you've spoken some about what the changes entail and the benefits you've experienced, I'd be very interested to learn WHY you changed your diet and what processes you went through via researching nutrition to settle on the new diet you've embraced, especially any medical studies you may have found that you could share. I ask because I am considering a change in diet myself and the hundreds of options are a little bewildering and overwhelming. Which is not to say that I would change my diet based on any one person's say so, but being pointed in the direction to find solid science based research regarding ONE of the many dietary regimes could be helpful not only to me but to your other viewers, as well. Speaking only for myself, I am not looking for help with weight loss or even correcting existing (perhaps) diet-related issues, just thinking I may be able to eat better to be able to sustain my overall good health going forward, as a 70 yr old female. Seems all my age-related health issues are, at this point in time anyway, genetic.

Curious if you did blood work before starting this diet. The book Undo It by Dean Ornish has really good science behind the benefits of a plant based diet. Not against sustainable harvested meat nor wild so most who do the carnivore diet don't have access like you.

Maybe diet wise you're onto something Shawn, I was skinny as hell as a kid eating as few vegetables as Mom would let me get away with.. loved fruit meat and raw veg/salads but hated cooked vegetables ! Garden is continuing to thrive, are the deer trying to jump existing fence or push through ? Can't blame 'em for trying !

Shawn, I found using texting today. I downloaded Zoom for a meeting, and it was filled with 100 at the meeting, so it was closed. So when I called the phone number, there were over 1,000 on the call, and I could not hear the call. So the host sent me a message with her phone number and finally sent her a text. Months ago, you wanted me to text you, but I didn't know how to do it. Well, anyway, I did buy a solar generator with solar panels and a Faraday bag. I forgot your text number. Strange that you are not eating vegetables but are eating fruit. Berries are great, but many fruits are loaded with sugar. Other than potatoes and similar vegetables (starch turns into sugar in our bodies), vegetables have much less sugar. Animal protein or animal protein with relevant vegetables to lose weight. To maintain weight, vegetables, other than high starch/glycemic vegetables, and fruit, but easy on the fruit, depending on sugar load. Berries always good.

How will you store fruits and vegetables during the winter? The storage in the basement will work for some time but not all winter long! How do you set that in advance? Thank you! Great content!

Deer do not like rosemary. You can get winter hardy varieties that will not die in sub zero.. i have some in my garden and i planted with a nice rock or 2 on the north side of the plant to nestle it into a "southern" corner, mulch and even cover with burlap in winter..do not cut back in winter, wait til spring or summer if you need to shape it.. make a hedge of it outside your deer fence and it will work even better to keep deer away.. they don't like it and will just keep on walking instead of looking for a way to get in. Also, is good to dry and use in kitchen as herb.. so double benefit from it.
